Allocating the Resource on the Time/ Frequency Grid
Time Domain Allocation
Time domain allocation is done on a Subframe basis. By specifying Assigned Subframes, user can duplicate one configuration to multiple subframes. For example, 1:24 means subframe 1 to 24.
OFDM Symbol Allocation
OFDM symbol allocation within one subframe is determined by Downlink/ Uplink Configurations, which defines the available channels/ signals in that subframe and the assigned OFDM symbols to each channel. The Description column displays the detailed allocation of 14 symbols within one subframe.
Resource Block Allocation
Resource block allocation in frequency domain is done by specifying the VRBG (virtual resource block group) start and number. Note that in one subframe, multi-user channels can be allocated and there could be conflict in the resource allocation. When it occurs, an error indicator will be attached to the channel with conflict and user needs to resolve the conflict before generating the waveform.
